A useful brief gives production direction

Before making a shot list or writing a script, we need to know what the audience should understand. The subject might be a product, a service, an explanation or a brand point of view. We agree the purpose and the evidence available to support it.

That brief identifies the message, visual approach, required formats and intended use. It also makes space for practical decisions about who appears, where the material comes from and what the business needs to supply. A clear brief helps the team make better creative choices throughout production.

Making the content

01

Develop the idea

We work on concepts, openings and scripts that fit the audience and format. A script should sound natural when spoken and give the visual treatment something clear to communicate.

02

Plan and capture

The production plan covers the required footage, framing and practical inputs. Filming arrangements, locations and any people or products needed are agreed for the project.

03

Edit for the format

We shape the pace, sequence, captions and visual hierarchy. The edit should hold together on the platform where it will appear, with important information kept readable.

04

Review and deliver

We agree the approval stages and final versions. File formats, aspect ratios, revisions and usage permissions are part of the scope so the finished material is ready for its intended use.

Make the right amount of explanation

A short-form clip needs a focused idea and an opening that earns attention. A YouTube video may require a deeper explanation, a stronger progression and more supporting material. A static ad needs a readable message and a clear visual decision.

The format changes the production work. We do not stretch every subject into the same duration or cut a longer video into clips without considering what each clip actually says. When versions are required, each one gets a reason to exist.

A production scope your team can use

The initial conversation sets the content types, quantity, inputs, review stages and delivery requirements. Complex shoots, specialist equipment, talent and location needs require separate confirmation rather than being assumed.

You can use the completed work with your own marketing team. Ongoing channel strategy sits with social media marketing, while campaign distribution and management sit with paid advertising.
